The farm was established in 2012 and it has been in operation ever scince, located at Kiwira Rungwe District, 60km from Mbeya Municipality also it was awarded the certificate of Incorporation on 11 August 2015 and in accordance with all regulatory and legal framework sas stipulated in the act.The need to venture into fishfarming was conceived with the purpose of meeting the increasing demand of fish products in the region.Currently the farm is focusing in the breeding of two types of fish species which are Oreochromis niloticus and Clarias gariepinus.The farm has 20ponds of 1000m squre each in a total area of 10acres.

The Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries puts Tanzania's fish production in the range of 325,000to380,000 tons per annum while the demand stands at over 700,000.When it comes to foreig nmarkets Mbeya region shares the boarders with countries such as Zambia, Malawi and Congo that also have high demands of fish.Thus,leavingahuge a gap of demand of fish that needs to be filled. Southern regions of Tanzania are blessed with suitable environments for fish Farming but local farmers lack a reliab lesource of Quality fingerlings, Both of these segments in aquaculture in southern region of Tanzania.
